Verifying your profile

To receive support on Keep Me Going, you need to verify your profile. This ensures trust, prevents impersonation, and makes payouts possible.

Here’s how to complete your profile verification step-by-step.

🧑‍💼 Step 1: Fill in Your Personal Details​

Navigate to the Account section in your dashboard. You’ll be required to provide:

  • Profile Image / Avatar — Use a clear image of yourself or your brand.
  • Full Name — Preferably the name on your ID. This may be required if KYC verification is triggered.
  • Phone Number (Ugandan only) — Your mobile number for account security and withdrawal purposes.
  • Short Bio — A brief description of who you are and what your supporters are helping you with.

✅ These fields help build trust and give your supporters confidence to tip you.

🌍 Step 2: Choose a Unique Username​

Go to the Page section of your dashboard to choose your username.

This becomes your public profile link:

  • Usernames must be unique
  • Pick a name you’re known by (real name, artist name, brand name)
  • Do not impersonate others or use misleading usernames

⚠️ Impersonation or spammy usernames may result in your account being flagged or disabled.

💸 Step 3: Set Your Payout Number​

Switch to the Payout section.

  • Enter your MTN or Airtel number
  • An OTP will be sent to that number to confirm ownership
  • Once verified, this is where your tips will be withdrawn

🔐 Only verified numbers can receive payouts.

🔍 Optional: KYC (Know Your Customer)​

Some accounts may be asked to complete KYC. This helps us:

  • Confirm your identity
  • Prevent fraud or misuse
  • Comply with payment regulations

If required, you'll be notified in your dashboard with instructions.

Once all sections are completed:

  • Your profile is marked verified
  • Supporters can visit your page and tip you
  • You can receive and withdraw earnings
